Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions picks-up Craig Roberts’ Eternal Beauty

Bankside Films has announced that Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions has acquired multiple territories for Craig Roberts’ Eternal Beauty

Eternal Beauty stars  BAFTA Award Winning / Academy Award® Nominee Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water, Paddington, Submarine, Happy-Go-Lucky) alongside Alice Lowe (Prevenge, Adult Life Skills, Sightseers), Golden Globe nominee David Thewlis (Wonder Woman, The Theory of Everything, Harry Potter), BAFTA nominee Billie Piper (Doctor Who, Mansfield Park) and Penelope Wilton (Downton Abbey, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel). 

The film is written and directed by Craig Roberts.

Shot on location in Wales. The comedy drama is Produced by Adrian Bate and Executive Produced by Craig Roberts of Cliff Edge Pictures, Mary Burke for the BFI, Adam Partridge for Ffilm Cymru Wales, Emma Duffy for Wellcome and Paul Higgins. The film is backed by the Welsh Government, the BFI with funding from the National Lottery, Ffilm Cymru Wales, also with funding from the National Lottery and Wellcome.

Eternal Beauty follows Roberts’ 2015 feature directorial debut Just Jim, which was nominated for a BAFTA Cymru award, and the first for his production company banner, Cliff Edge Pictures. Roberts stars in the Tolkien biography currently in cinemas, and has numerous acting credits which include Kill Your Friends, 22 Jump Street, Submarine and Amazon’s Red Oaks.
When Jane is dumped at the altar, she has a breakdown and spirals into a chaotic world, where love (both real and imagined) and family relationships collide with both touching and humorous consequences.
